Junior Information Security Analyst

The role will be reporting to Senior Information Security Officer.

Junior Information Security Analyst implement, test and review an organization's information security in order to protect information and prevent unauthorized access. Junior Analyst informs users about security measures, implement security measures and monitor networks & assets.

Junior Information Security Analyst is responsible for gathering information necessary to maintain security and establish functioning external barriers such as firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems, Endpoint Protection and other security measures and controls. They make relevant and optimized use of a Security Information and Event Management system. They maintain the documentation and controls for certification and accreditation of each information system in accordance with government requirements. Additionally, Junior information Security Analyst review systems in order to identify potential security weaknesses, recommend improvements to amend vulnerabilities, implement changes and document upgrades.

Junior Information Security Analyst must be highly analytical and effectively able to troubleshoot issues. Aside from technical skills, prospective candidates should have excellent communications and teamwork skills. Because of the constant developing nature of information systems and cyber-attacks, Junior Information Analyst must be committed to continuous learning and system development.

Responsibilities

The Junior Information Security Analyst reports to the Senior Information Security Officer. The Senior Information Security Officer determines the activities due by the Junior Information Security Analyst based on evolving needs to improve the company’s security posture and to secure CHAMP Cargosystems’ assets.

• Implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and information.
• Periodically extracts reports from security devices in place and especially takes advantages of the Security Information and Event Management system.
• Performs periodic controls determined by the security strategy and policies.
• Identify and define system security requirements.
• Document standard operating procedures and protocols.
• Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices.
• Alerts as quickly as possible about security incidents.
• Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes and propositions for further system security enhancement.
• Understands the fundamental business activities performed by CHAMP CARGOSYSTEMS to propose appropriate information security solutions.
• Participates in internal activities pertaining to investigation, correction, prosecution actions needed for the resolution of information security issues.
• Prepares postmortem analyses of information security breaches, violations, and incidents.
• Provides technical support to consulting services on matters related to information security and especially with the Security Operation Center
• Manages the continuous improvement of CHAMP incident response capabilities by maintain the procedure and by participating to the design of automated solutions.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Experience in the role of 1 year appreciated.
• Technical knowledge in Software Development is highly appreciated.
• Knowledge of vulnerability scans solutions appreciated.
• Technical knowledge of Windows & Linux Operating System
• Culture of security related policies and procedures.
• Experience with conducting audit log reviews.
• Experience with Security Information & Event Management system appreciated.
• Strong problem solving and analysis skills, self-motivated, and able to work and communicate in a team environment.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field of study is appreciated.
• ITIL certification nice-to-have.
• CEH certification nice-to-have or equivalent.
• ISO27K or SOC2 knowledge appreciated.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelors Degree graduate in Computer related courses
• Atleast 2 years’ experience in Information Security
• Technical experience in one field of IT Management of at least 2 years recommended
