BI Analyst – DATABASE DEVELOPER BI (F/ M)

Job Scope:

To develop, maintain and support a BI product suite currently designed on SQL Server, Oracle, SAP & BusinessObjects XI. Airline specific BI analytics are run that include extraction and reporting functions. BI product development is managed in relation with our headquarters in Luxemburg.

Tasks:

·           Monitoring extraction, transformation and loading processes.

·           Monitoring and migrating SQL server extractions

·           Writing stored procedures and functions (T-SQL & PL-SQL)

·           Designing and maintaining Crystal Reports or BO reports, adjusting Universe definitions.

·           Analysing SQL data to design views and reports.

·           Problem solving data, report, process, software and platform issues with external customers and technology providers.

Technical Skills and Experience:

Experience in the following areas is essential:

·           Working knowledge of E.T.L developments (preferably IBM Datastage, ex-Ascential) (2years)

·           Working knowledge of Oracle  (2 years)

·           SQL Server 2000 – SQL Server 2005 – administration and maintenance, including working knowledge of backup and recovery procedures and performance optimization. Knowledge of stored procedures, triggers and able to understand and write complex TSQL. (2 years)

·           Experience of working with SSIS/DTS packages, including the DTS package object (1 year)

·           Good working knowledge of Windows 2000 Server – Windows 2003 server - Unix

·           Working knowledge of dimensional modelling and reporting environment design 

Experience in the areas below would be advantageous.

·           In depth knowledge and experience of C# and the .NET environment (3 years)

·           Experience of Crystal Report Designer, designing reports (2 years)

·           Experience of designing Business Objects Universes

·           Experience of Java, JSP & SSRS
