GLS Hong Kong partners with CHAMP Cargosystems to accelerate e-AWB adoption

London, March 2016 – CHAMP Cargosystems today announced its extended partnership with Global Logistics System Hong Kong (“GLS Hong Kong”) to provide a joint solution which is designed to enable small and medium sized freight forwarders in Hong Kong to create and submit e-AWB easily and efficiently.

As part of this partnership, GLS Hong Kong will be offering its multi-carrier cargo portal EzyCargo™ which got further enriched with extended functionality from CHAMP’s freight forwarding solution Logitude.

Nicholas Xenocostas, VP, Global Sales and Marketing at CHAMP Cargosystems commented, “We are pleased to be able to extend our successful partnership with GLS Hong Kong, further strengthening our relationship and joint activities.  GLS Hong Kong is the key CCS provider in the region and EzyCargo™ has been extremely well positioned to serve the air cargo community.

Partnered with Logitude, this advanced version of EzyCargo™ provides a full freight forwarding solution that is also capable to address the very specific Hong Kong related co-loading scenarios involving brokers.”

Terry Lo, Chief Executive Officer of GLS Hong Kong commented, “Our EzyCargo™ platform provides a Software as a Service offering that is easy and quick to set up.  With the combined Logitude features, small and medium sized forwarders in Hong Kong in particular will benefit from easy and affordable access to an advanced solution to maximize efficiency and productivity.  Not only will they become more competitive, they will also be able to support IATA’s e-AWB initiative.”

The air freight supply is very interlinked and digitizing air cargo isn’t without any obstacles.  CHAMP and GLS Hong Kong have acknowledged that the full digitization can only happen if the many small and medium sized forwarders are also provided with suitable, affordable and easily implementable tools.
