Product Manager

We are currently looking for Product Manager to join our team.

The role will be reporting to Senior Product Manager.

Location: India

Responsibilities

  • To understand the market & customer needs and determine the vision and strategy of the product.
  • Prioritize the development roadmap based on factors such as development capacity, customer needs, company requirements, etc.
  • Able to own several customer or system requirements and work with other team members to lead the requirements, specification, and development phase.
  • Apply domain, technical and product knowledge to analyze the requirements and define the most suitable solutions for the enhancement of the application.
  • Provide the most efficient solutions to a requirement, keeping in mind the product and technical debt.
  • Able to own the end-to-end business domain and work with all stakeholders to agree and document an efficient solution.
  • Fully document functional and technical solutions, obtain customer /stakeholder approval prior to technical development, and ensure updated system support documentation is produced at the time of implementation.
  • Collaborating with the development team to ensure that requirements are being developed as expected and on time.
  • Leading, collaborating with, and supporting various team members as required to ensure the success of deliverables.
  • Support other business analysts and development team.
  • Ability to present / demonstrate / articulate the product functionality, strategy, and vision to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support BAU processes to ensure that any support / defect tickets raised by customers are addressed in a timely manner.
  • To specify software development requirements to meet the strategic, financial, and operational needs of CHAMP Cargosystems clients and to provide support to the development team during development.
  • Help to define the test cases and provide BA acceptance for developments and fixes done by the development team.
  • Create business process workflows, user interface designs, and mock-ups that will mimic the actual user interaction.
  • Provide business and functional support to the technical team during development, and test programs after completion to ensure compliance with the specification.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Expert level knowledge in the air cargo domain for sales and operations.
  • Knowledge of standard industry messages such as Cargo IMP, Cargo XML, message formats, rules and applications.
  • Knowledge of external interfacing systems
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills in English.
  • Systematic approach to handling problems under pressure as part of a small team.
  • Knowledge in user experience (UX).
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs.
  • Knowledge of integration testing of APIs using tools like Swagger, Postman.
  • Knowledge of creation of API documentation using YAML specifications.
  • Creative / analytical, out of the box thinkers who can backup ideas their ideas with research.
  • Team players who are comfortable collaborating with graphic designers, web architects and the clients themselves.
  • Knowledge in prototyping use of any wire framing tool.
  • Knowledge and experience in Agile software development, Scrum methodology and user story creation.
  • Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases and reporting applications.
  • Knowledge of all common PC software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business management or equivalent.
  • Around 15 years of overall experience working in the air cargo domain.
  • Around 10 years of experience of working on air cargo management systems and/or air cargo portals.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an IT product manager.
  • Has sound experience in functional analysis and support of IT systems.

The selected candidate may be subject to the provision of an up-to-date (not older than 3 months) criminal record certificate.
