International Women's Day is an opportunity to recognize the achievements of women, reflect on progress made, and take action towards gender equality. It serves as a global reminder of the importance of inclusivity, representation, and empowerment in all industries including IT and air cargo.
To celebrate International Women's Day and this year's theme, “Accelerate Action,” CHAMP united employees from its seven global offices for an inspiring and engaging session.
A message from leadership
CHAMP Philippines Managing Director, Philips Manalaysay, spoke about the significance of International Women's Day and how women's rights are a fundamental part of broader human rights. He reinforced CHAMP’s ongoing commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and diverse workplace where every employee, regardless of gender, feels empowered to thrive.
As CHAMP’s Chief People Officer and a woman in a senior leadership role, Agathe Domon, is also able to offer a unique perspective. “International Women’s Day is a wonderful opportunity to recognize and celebrate women's undeniable contributions not only to the workforce, but to society. Women in leadership: Insights and inspiration
The event also provided a platform for women across CHAMP to share their experiences in both the air cargo and IT industries. Employees had the opportunity to hear from Arianna Maronese, Senior Legal Counsel; Zeta Loo, APAC Head of Sales; and Isha Knight, Portfolio Marketing Manager about their career pathways, experiences in technology, and valuable advice for colleagues looking to grow in their careers.
Each speaker shared personal insights on overcoming challenges, breaking barriers in traditionally male-dominated industries, and the importance of mentorship and advocacy. Their stories served as an inspiration to all employees, highlighting the impact of resilience, continuous learning, and leadership in driving change.
Commitment to a safe and inclusive workplace
Recognizing the importance of proactively creating and nurturing a safe workspace for all employees, CHAMP also used this opportunity to raise awareness about its internal whistleblowing policies. By educating employees on how to report unacceptable behavior and ensuring they feel protected and supported by leadership, CHAMP reinforces its commitment to transparency, accountability, and workplace integrity.
These policies play a crucial role in fostering an environment where employees feel confident in speaking up against misconduct, knowing that their concerns will be taken seriously and addressed appropriately.

To conclude the celebrations, employees participated in an interactive quiz that tested their knowledge of women’s contributions to IT. This engaging activity challenged common misconceptions, raised awareness about the pioneering women who have shaped technology, and encouraged discussions on how to continue supporting gender diversity in the field.
