During the beginning of November, I had the pleasure of participating in the IRU World Congress (International Road Union, equivalent to IATA for road transport) and contribute to a panel discussion on “Next generation digital platforms”.
As a key take away, I would like to share with you an interesting article on the future of transportation. And this is good news for the Air Cargo industry: The future belongs to those who are fast!

But speed is also about fast implementation and ease of doing business. So, something we need to consider ensuring that our products are easy to use and most important, easy to sell!
Finally, former European Union President, Jose Manuel Barroso, had a very inspirational speech on trade and connectivity: "We now face a challenge to integration and interconnectedness – unprecedented in its scope, speed and intensity". So, another opportunity to further enhance multimodality and collaboration with other modes of transport.
This event was also an opportunity to catch up with Oman Air which recently processed their first e-AWB thanks to our CargoHUB solution on 1 November 2018 together with our colleagues Johan and Bart-Jan whom have been busy networking with Government authorities and promoting Logitude to the road environment (yes Logitude is not just about e-AWB but a good Transport Management Systems -TMS!)
