Luxembourg, September 2015 – CHAMP Cargosystems, a leading global IT provider to the air cargo industry, has announced the appointment of Gabriel Florea as the new Group CFO of CHAMP Cargosystems, effective 21 September 2015. Gabriel Florea takes over from Susan Boulton who was part of the core team founding CHAMP Cargosystems at the end of 2004.

Gabriel Florea started his career in 1997 as an Auditor with Arthur Andersen in Bucharest, then moved to Luxembourg in 2000 where he was Audit Manager for Ernst & Young. In 2003 he started a long career with Johnston Control in Brussels in which he successively had the responsibilities of Senior International Internal Auditor, then Head of Financial Reporting and Internal Controls Compliance EMEA and finally Regional Finance Director, Emerging Markets.
Prior to joining CHAMP, Gabriel has been working for HARSCO Luxembourg since 2012 where he was Regional Finance Director Europe South & West and the CFO of the French and Luxembourgish holding structures.
Gabriel holds a Bachelor in Business Administration from ASE University in Bucharest, Romania and is fluent in Romanian, English and French.
Aside from his professional duties, Gabriel is Associate Lecturer in International Finance at ICN Business School in Nancy and Founder and member of the Board of Directors of the “Romanian – Luxembourg Business Forum”.
